Sundays
Each Sunday there is a large range of Children’s work going on for children of all ages:
Messy Church
Messy Church is for all ages and is a church where we can make lots of noise, have fun, be creative, where it is relaxed and has a lovely atmosphere. It is a global scheme and is described on their website as being:
– A way of being church for families involving fun
– Found across the world
– Values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration
We started Messy Church in our Parish in 2012. Sundays are often family days and therefore we looked for a time mid-week to meet together 4 times a year. We wanted to it to be centred on Christ, showing Christian hospitality and is based on creativity. Over the last year we have made mobiles, sheep handprint pictures, candle holders, decorated biscuits, made the walls of Jericho and made a nativity scene out of junk modelling. Messy Church is an opportunity to play together, be creative together, have fun together and eat together. A place where we can be family.
The next Messy Church is on Wednesday 28th August 3.30pm at Handcross Recreation Ground.
Holiday Club
The holiday club is an annual event usually taking place over the February half-term for children is Key Stages 1 and 2.
